We’ve got some really wonderful films to be screened this season!
Short synopses of the films we’ll be showcasing…..
A disabled grocer goes to work as usual. On the way, he sees several men taking a girl to kill her. The grocer tries to save her life. A boy meets a rock on a salt flat. Two rickshaw drivers fighting with each other on a stop in the wilderness for a ride. Focusing on the Ewenki culture, the video explores the current situation of its cultural disappearance and the “rebirth” of the new generation of Ewenki people, and fully presents the hidden cultural meaning and emotional world of the Ewenki people. A well-meaning man discovers that love can change in five minutes. Pez’s life is a fairy tale, but it was written by the Brothers Grimm… and when the killer troll from under the bridge comes to harvest young girls, this girl scout must use her cookies to kill. This project is an allegory of the feeling of being lost, a sentiment that seems increasingly present, especially among Generation Z. Rather than a pessimistic outlook, it aims to highlight the power of unity and cooperation in navigating future challenges.

Deadpool and Wolverine! Now I’m someone who’s never publicly admitted to liking superhero movies especially with someone I’m dating because I wouldn’t want them to lose their erection but I did like Deadpool. Lots of good gags and I’ve always had a soft spot for burn victims.
I also liked Logan. I liked the bit where Professor X is having a brain seizure. I thought that was the most realistic depiction of a Jäger bomb hangover I’ve ever seen.
I also like Ryan Reynolds. He’s from Vancouver, Canada where I used to live before I was deported for being slightly interesting.
Vancouver is like the Los Angeles of Canada without the weather, glamour, excitement or career opportunities but it does manage to hold on to the incredibly high prices which is good……
